Birth and Postpartum Doula
Caregiving is the heart of who I am and reason that I serve others. Holding hands, helping hearts and serving families is my passion. Although I bring a bag of comforts to use at a birth, my hands, voice and presence are the best tools I have. I want to bring calm to your birth. Providing compassionate care, comforting touch and techniques to bring you relief, and helping your baby to be in the best position to be born is the heart of what I do. Bringing my experience and helping you stay informed is important so that you can make the best decisions possible. Getting to know you during your pregnancy helps develop the trust that is needed during birth. Moms can be very vulnerable during their labor and birth. It's my job to protect your space and give you the needed information to stay focused on meeting your new little. My Birth Doula and Postpartum Doula training's have been through DONA International. Part of my experience is being a pastor's wife. Years of ministering has given me a love for people - no matter the age or stage of life - and a wide range of opportunities. My own four natural births and extensive breastfeeding experience adds to my skill set. Knowing grief and loss (2 babies in heaven) personally contributes to my calm and thoughtful care. I'm also an End-of-Life Doula through INELDA (International End-of-Life Doula Association), serving families through illness, death & grief. I would love to listen to your story. Your birth matters and I would love to be your doula. Walking along side another's journey is a gift. I would be honored to be by your side.
