Beverly Vaughn – RN, BSN.
I have been a caring and professional Registered Nurse for 40 years. I hold a Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing from William Jewel College. In 2019 I began pursing training as a postpartum doula, I have attended a 3 day (27 hr) seminar presented by DONA trainer(Doulas of North America). My childcare experience includes personal, clinical, volunteer and at my church. I am a mother of three grown children and grandmother of two. I am current on CPR, tuberculosis skin test, hepatitis b, influenza, and pertussis immunizations. My goals are to provide non-medical nurture and support, to educate the new mother and family, and to refer to healthcare professionals with issues beyond the scope of a doula.
When I’m not working I enjoy spending time with my family, sewing, crocheting, being involved in church and The American Legion Auxiliary, and volunteering at Mother’s Refuge (a homeless shelter for teenage mothers)
